The Interview

I interview my mom and this is her answers:

1. What was the funniest thing I did when I was a baby?
When you walked away from us while we were eating and went straight to the stage where there were artists dancing, and you joined them not minding what music they were dancing too. We only found out when the host started announcing for the parent of the child dancing ‘singkil’ on stage. (Okay, I don’t know about that, I wish I was like that right now. What’s singkil?)

2. What was my first word?
Mama… (what a common word, right?!)

3. What was my first food/favorite food?
Your first food is gerber food (I think that’s a baby food…) Your favorite food is spaghetti (yeah, but the Filipino style, specially my grandmother’s or tita’s spaghetti or even the Jollibee spaghetti.)

4. What was the craziest thing you did when you were a student?

In our CAT class where I was aspiring for adjutant, they had to make sure that the aspirants have good voices, because they command the whole regiment. So our Sr. officer made us shout ‘I don’t have a panty’ everytime we’re in her command. Looking back, I think it was silly. (Okay, once she said this, I swear I was laughing like nonstop.)

5. How did you and dad/mom meet? (if it's too awkward to ask, you're excused)

Dad and I are classmates in high school. (Okay, I heard that a ton of times, my dad used to say a lot of things about him and my mom. Some times I’m even embarrase, when he started saying this stuff in front of my friends and classmates…)

6. If you could do anything other than what you are doing now, what would it be?

Maybe a doctor, as I love helping people. I wanted to be a doctor but since we don’t have a lot of money to pay for college expenses, I just chose another course. (Seriously, I heard this thing from grandmother, my mother’s mom, for ton or times…)

7. Tell me a secret you kept from your parents. (*grin*)

None that I can recall as my parents have been very supportive. (I agree to that)

8. Tell me something about you that I still don’t know.
That when I was in first grade, I was very happy receiving my report card where all my grades were less than 80, I though it was cool that the grades were almost the same, I didn’t know that getting less than 80% is bad. From then on I strived and graduated valedictorian in elementary. (Mom, why didn’t you tells us this one before? Well now I knew…)

okay that's it stop na... Ms. Mac can we have more questions??? lol...

Who Am I?

JUST READ IT.

Who Am I?
July 1, 2006

I am who. I am Roxanne Vivien S. Mercado. I prefer my classmates and teacher to call me Roxanne, but Ivy is fine and besides it's shorter. I am now a senior or fourth year high school in PAREF Woodrose School, Inc. I just turned 17 last month. I was born on May 23, 1989 in San Fernando, Pampanga. I grew up in Cavite since I turned one. I am Catholic. My father is Mario Romarico M. Mercado or Rory. He is businessman and the co-owner of Delta-T. My mother is Vilma S. Mercado and she works in Intel as a Department Manager. My two siblings are Nica and Vince. They are both studying now in La Salle Zobel. My sister Nica is now thirteen years old and a first year high school. My brother Vince is now eleven years and a fifth grade. I lived in Bacoor, Cavite.

My hobbies are swimming, playing badminton, surfing the internet, listening to music, watching the television and movies, chatting with my friends and cousin online and writing stories. My favorite sports are badminton and swimming. My favorite subjects are Math and Arts. I like to draw mazes, architectures and trendy outfits. My favorite accessories are chandelier earrings, hoops and bracelets. I like r&b songs, opm, and hiphop music.
I like Harry Potter and I collect all Harry Potter items, such as the books, dvds, stickers, tattoos, notebooks, designed box, doll, bookends, pencils, crayons, paper and more. I also write Harry Potter fanfiction: Life in the Chat Room. It's a little bit against the Grammar rule because it's a chat message style. It's not that good but you want to waste your time, just waste your time in reading my fiction.

I studied in Casa Real Montessori School from pre-school to third grade. I studied in Elizabeth Seton School – South (ESS) from fourth grade to second year high school. I studied in Concordia International School Shanghai (CISS) for two years. Now, I am studying in PAREF Woodrose School, Inc. in my senior year or fourth year.

From the past two years, my family and I leaved in Shanghai, China. My brother, sister and I studied in Concordia International School Shanghai. Our school is just two blocks away from our house, so sometimes I walk or bike going to school. This school is a Christian school but it isn’t specifically a Catholic school so I have to study Muslim, Buddhism and other non-Christian beliefs in a religion class for two years. I’ve finished grades nine and ten or freshmen and sophomore year in this school. Because it’s an international school, I met many people from different parts of the world with different religion and language. In fact, all my friends in this school came from different countries, two from Hong Kong, a Malaysian, one Filipino-Chinese, four Koreans and an American. Their names are Rachael Ma, Tiffany Chong, Shulin Teh, Amanda Lim, Yesi, Sinae Kim, Siwon Kim, Luisa Koo and Kari McBride. All my teachers are also from different countries, such as America, Canada, Philippines, China, Malaysia, Thailand and more. Since we’re here in China, I took Chinese as Foreign Language I and II. I also got an excellent award in my Chinese class for two consecutive years. This school is different from others because we high school are required to have laptops so my parent have to buy me a laptop. This is why I learned new techniques how to use and take care of my laptop. Like field trips or retreats, in Concordia we have something the same called Interim except this one whole week away from home. There seven places to choose for the Interim and each student have to choose their first three choices they want to go. In Interim, the students and assigned teacher go to different parts of China. In my first Interim, I went to Jingdezhen, where most of the potteries and porcelain are made with just nine other students and two teachers. In the Qing Dynasty, Jingdezhen use to make potteries and porcelains for the emperor of China. My interim mates, teachers, and I learned how to make a pottery in a wheel. In fact, I made two successful vases. I went to Lanzhou province or Tibet in my second Interim that includes twenty-two students and Mr. Gertz and Mr. Whitehead.

Well so much for introduction.
Who am I?
A simple question when you first encounter this, but a difficult question when you try to answer it.
Deep inside, I'm just a shy girl who's hiding inside the closet, under the bed and in the dark corner who tries to leave the room and meet new people and new friends.
I've look to every pictures of my phote album, but I still can't find the real me.
I've read to every pages of my yearbooks, but I still can't find the real me.
I look outside my window, but I stil can't find the real me.
I've travel around the world, but I still can't find the real me.
I asked everyone if they know me, but I still can't find the answers that I'm trying to find about me.
Oh, yeah I almost forgot, I can only find these answers in a little box inside my heart!

IM JUST RIGHT HERE.
Don't Look Everywhere
Around the WORLD for ME.
YOU'll NEVER notice that
I'm just right here beside YOU.
Oh my Gosh! Why can't YOU notice ME?
I'm just SITTING near with YOU.
Come on, LOOK at ME straight in my EYES.
As in LOOK at ME
Like YOUR a FREEZING ICE.
I'm just right here.
I'm just right there in your HEART.
